I love this. Friends, pub and Friday Hangs. I’ve anchored in Sydney more than I know. (Photo by Matt)
Hannh is seriously cool. Took her out on one of my nights of spontaneous activity = go with the flow type adventure. My local pub, 80’s music, Thai, walked to a park and had a jam sesh with two random boys, hung out with Zac and Kane.
Fun facts (I found out): I can’t believe we did the same degree at the same time and I had no idea she existed?! (Obvious ignorance on my part). She’s the only straight girl I know who follows the L word (:O I know right?!). Is a freakin’ amazing illustrator/ artist. Is an American passport holder and has a trust/ fear issue with swings…
Zac and Kane are starting something and I’m helping them. We went skating after chai sesh. Im so shit at skating so these rad kids r helping me out. We walked/ skated around Glebe, ended up playing guitar and skating at Wentworth Park. They’re gonna be living out of a van soon, totally keen for a van party.
The story goes like this…
Brian and I met up to play chess at the local cafe and next thing you know Zac joins. We then collectively decided to go play in the park, while there Brian and Zac ‘spidered’ on a swing, we got thrown off the flying fox (Zac hurt his balls), climbed on top of a votex jungle gym, and talked to drunken girls who climbed up to join us. I felt like a child again, just playing, climbing and spinning.
Randomly, I thought I should take both these guys to a stair case in Uni Sydney where it overlooks the city, tonight would have been perfect. As we walked up towards the building, a fence loomed before us. We managed to find a part of the fence where the spikes were covered and we climbed over. Whilst celebrating, Brian pointed towards the fourth floor, a security guard with a radio in one hand pointed at us, mouth moving. ‘Oh shit’ - We took off our hoodies in an attempt to look less suspect but he continued to radio, we walked a little faster. Then from the corner of eye I saw a security car approach from a distance… we ran, just ran.
The guys and I ended up walking for while just talking. It’s weird all three of us being together in a circumstance like this because normally we’re ballin’ at the local courts and sweating it out in gym gear. Anticipating tonight was going to be boring, it couldn’t have been more fun.
